No fish, no Banarly. We want to manage our natural resources responsibly and are committed to the protection of the aquatic ecosystems we source our seafood from.
We work hard to maintain the quality, diversity, and availability of fishing resources for present and future generations. A key element is our Vessel Monitoring System (VMS), an advanced tool that allows the fleet manager not only to constantly monitor all vessel activity but also to monitor production from the different fishing grounds in an effort to maintain an optimal balance between ocean stocks and fishing result.
Furthermore, we only trawl outside the restricted five mile zone from the coast to safeguard the catch of non-industrial artisanal fisheries. Many areas along the coast such as river mouths are considered breeding grounds for sea fauna animals. These are protected by law and trawling in that zone is strictly prohibited.
